TRIVIA
1) The choice to move to Epitaph Records had nothing to do with wanting to leave Deathwish Inc. It just felt like the time to try something new. Epitaph being local and already having a relationship with many of the staff made us feel at home. We maintain a wonderful relationship with Deathwish Inc and couldn't be more proud of the work we've done together.
2) Second album recorded with Brad Wood (the first being Is Survived By). There was a plan to record elsewhere that fell through, but that was because Brad had taken a job and a break from producing. When he heard that we were in a jam, he dropped what he was doing to get back in the saddle. Forever thankful for Brad Wood.
3) Longest amount of time writing and studio time. On and off about 9 months to write and 3 weeks in the studio.
4) New Halloween references two songs that are "hard to hear". One being "I Cant Live Without My Mother's Love" by Sun Kil Moon on the album BENJI. The other being "What Sarah Said" by Death Cab For Cutie off the album PLANS. Mark Kozelek of Sun Kil Moon has written songs referencing Ben Gibbard and their friendship, this was realized later and maybe was in Jeremy's subconscious.
